Thanks to all who have supported Alethea’s fabulous book Ancient Australia Unearthed.
It has been shortlisted for the ABDA category for “Best Designed Educational Primary/Secondary Book” . This year saw an unprecedented number of submissions and we have been shortlisted along with 3 others!
I’m thrilled and immensely proud to announce that ‘Ancient Australia Unearthed’ has been shortlisted for the Australian Book Designers Awards in the category ‘Best Designed Educational Primary/Secondary Book’. If you’d like to see the full shortlist, click here.
Only four books were shortlisted nationally in this category, and we’re up against some tough competition: the Wilderness School’s ‘Always True’ and two entries from educational publishing giant Oxford University Press.
For a self-published textbook, this is an incredible achievement, and it all comes down to Robyn’s exquisite illustrations, design and layout. Where other entries were working with a team of people, Robyn was the sole designer for ‘Ancient Australia Unearthed’. This in itself speaks volumes about the quality of her work.
The awards night will be held in Sydney on Friday 22 May. If you are a member of ABDA, you are eligible to vote in the three Designers’ Choice Awards, all of which apply to ‘Ancient Australia Unearthed’. So, if you feel that way inclined, please cast your vote!
We couldn’t have reached this point without your support, and for that I thank you again most sincerely.
Wish us luck, and a HUGE congratulations to Robyn!
